THREE popular seaside locations have slapped drivers with campervans with an 18-month parking ban right at the height of the holiday season.
The restrictions have been put in place after local residents made a number of noise complaints and raised concerns about beach safety.

As temperatures touched 34C this week, many Brits’ minds may well have turned to a weekend at the beach.
But sun-seekers in one region of the country might be out of luck if they were hoping to enjoy a van life staycation.
North Yorkshire Council has reacted to complaints from locals by cracking down on the use of motorhomes in the area.
The restrictions will affect a stretch of the A174 just north of Whitby, as well as beachfront streets in Scarborough and Cayton Bay.
From this summer, owners will be unable to set up mobile homes overnight on these roads, with the new rules enforced by fines.
After completing a public consultation, the council confirmed it would introduce the regulations on a trial basis for the next 18 months.
They will join similar programmes in other areas of the county, which were made permanent in 2015.
There will be a second public survey carried out in the first six months of the new regime.
Based on the results, the council will then make a decision on whether they will become permanent.
Councillor Keane Duncan said: “We know how important the tourist economy is to the Yorkshire coast and motorhomes are as welcome to park on the seafront as any other vehicle during the day.
“However, extended stays, which usually include significant numbers of motorhomes parking overnight, are causing issues for nearby residents and are posing a serious safety hazard.
“We have also factored in the increasing level of complaints to the council, police and fire service.”
However, it was acknowledged that the ban could cause motorhomes to park on unrestricted roads nearby, even if these were further away from the seafront.
It comes after several drivers complained of being slapped with fines from one of the UK’s priciest toll roads…despite never using it.
